Here is what they said:įotoFusion is in active development. There is a freebie earlier version of Serif PP X8 so you can try it out. This can be easily accomplished by using Photo-Rar, a compression program that shrinks my scanned 2 meg tif files down to the 300k while still keeping quality. I suggest linking to photos rather than embedding to keep file size down. This is the layout program for the rest of us. Serif PP X8 is better than anything else out there and I have tried Photoshop, InDesign, etc. A completed page can be exported as jpeg. You can do the usual arrange, group, bring to front/back, etc.
Text can be pasted right on top of pictures for captions. Non-destruct crop to make things fit better. Just click on a picture/element and drag it where you want. To be able to assemble items for scrapbook pages for instance is a pleasure to use. While it cannot collage, it can do everything else. I used to use FotoFusion and liked it until I met Serif Page Plus X8 Desktop Publishing software.
